PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
David has over 30 years experience in the property management industry in Vancouver, handling both large and small projects in the office, industrial and retail sectors.
Beginning his real estate career in the mortgage department with The Mutual Life Assurance Company, he moved into property management with that company when it acquired its first properties in Vancouver. David then accepted the challenge of establishing and managing the Properties Department for Credit Foncier in Vancouver where he remained for seven years. He then moved to Manulife Real Estate running that company's portfolio of properties in Vancouver. During his eight years with Manulife, David opened Manulife's first office development in Vancouver at 510 Burrard Street and completed troubleshooting assignments in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles.
David provided management services to facilitate B. C. Hydro settling into new 235,000 sq.ft. Head office premises at 333 Dunsmuir Street. He developed specifications and tendered janitorial and other major service contracts. That project being completed successfully, he was then assigned to B. C. Hydro's newly developed 540,000 sq.ft. Edmonds facility to assist in the same manner.
Since completion of the B.C. Hydro assignment, David has managed an active portfolio of commercial properties and has stayed active in facilities management through his operation of a 95,000 sq. ft. office project for Workers Compensation Board of B. C. He recently tendered the janitorial contract for that facility, successfully making the transition to a private contractor from WCB's own unionized work force.
David has successfully managed facilities, projects, contracts, contractors, office and operations personnel since the early 70's. His expertise and experience in this area is second to none. His contributions and accomplishments in the industry were recognized when he recently became a member of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver's Quarter Century Club.
